A quiet month
November actually worked out rather quiet of a month. I didn’t do much in terms of anything exciting, I started to declutter more and more items, especially household items that accumulated, my famous inherited spices and herbs but as always advocated in the past, used my existing cleaning products and kept my life simple.
Focusing on my health was taking a priority this month, kept up with my gym routine and also with the healthy meals. Feeling proud about my training regime and development in terms of weightlifting but upcoming holidays will sabotage this regime a bit, but it is part and parcel of life, sometimes we all gotta take a break and it won’t be any different for me neither.
Minimalism and a simple lifestyle in this part of the year is becoming more and more difficult especially stepping into December and starting our preparation for Christmas. As always I have a plan for the festive period too.
In the end of November was my dad’s birthday so I took out my parents (yes was taking my mum too) for a cigar tasting in an exclusive hotel in central London and worked out just as I imagined.
My dad loved it and my mum had fun too, just casually smoking in a lounge Cuban cigars along with a nice single malt and eating steak sandwhiches, can it get any better?
Cuban Edmundo Montecristo cigar - named after Alexandre Dumas famous novel - Le Comte De Monte-Cristo.
My dad liked it so much he can’t wait to go again for this cigar night, so will organize another occasion too.
My plan for Christmas will be the same, give something that so exclusive, that is so unique that everyone has a limited amount only, my time. I am going to spend time with my loved ones and will try to make it memorable, spending quality time with them together.
On the positive note, managed to do not purchase any physical non perishible item for myself this month. It is great to go for months without buying things, once I finished with sorting my clothes (my jumpers and shirts are too small so gotta be changed) I have to purchase few shirts and maybe a jumper or two, but at the moment I want to wait for it till the very last minute as usual, prefer to use what I have rather than purchasing something meanwhile I have clothes that are okay to be worn.
Let’s see how December will be going, but will try to keep it low profile and keep up with decluttering I really would love to experience how is it to have minimal amount of stuff and being able to pack things and go if I choose to, at the moment I am not at this stage yet, but the goal is there and I am moving towards it.
Yours sincerely
