It was a busy year, let's see what the future holds for us

I know that I owe you all with few articles the past months but as 2021 finished in a rather busier fashion, the new year just started as the previous has finished, busy with lots of things to do.

Gotta tell you, that, I disappeared from the online sphere but for a reason, so keep on reading the blog but in the end it will all make sense, just stick with me a little bit longer.

December was busy not just because usually due to the festive periods it is always like that; lot of shopping, contemplating about how to surprise our loved ones, what to buy (hope it was not the main question in your heads in December though), how to surprise people or just how to stop for a while to reflect on our achievements during the year, think about ourselves and to think about what we want to change in our lives for the better, how to develop, how to grow, how to make that next step.

The latter is probably one of the most difficult question, where we know deep inside the answer for but it still keeps us anxious. Rationally we have an idea what would be the best for us. We know exactly well what is the desire our heart wants, but can we overcome our fears and anxiety to make it a possibility?

I don’t talk much about my fears, I guess it is pretty much the same for most of us, but one thing that keeps me down is the inability to get moving, to make my ideas to fruition. It literally freezes me, holds me captive, makes me anxious.

There should be a clear path to it, so let’s break it down in more simple terms what I mean exactly;

Step 1. Have an idea.

Step 2. Decide to make it happen.

Step 3. Get moving and start working on it.

Step 4. Yes, you made it possible.

So the SOP (Standard Operating Procedure) should be something like the one above. Like most of us I got stuck either between step 1 and 2 or between step 2 or 3 or simply did not achieve step 4 at all because I gave up way too early.

What do I really wanted to say with all this, well, I decided my last year’s new year’s resolution that it’s gotta change. I worked on it, really put the hard work in and made it possible.

I said that I wanna progress in my life, every aspect, I want to change, I want to grow, want to shake off my convenient routine and turn my life upside down and to turn to the better, so this is what I did.

I know I really hooked you up on this by now, but don’t get distracted, will elaborate this in the next article.

Let’s focus on the festive season, as much as my blog is about my personal life and growth, it is also about simple living and minimalism, so proud to say I didn’t bought much stuff in December and got rid of even more because I had to face it, I had more than enough. To be precise, I bought only useful things to my loved ones (jumpers, cashmere sweaters), I avoided shopping unnecessary stuff for myself, to be precise in the beginning of January, during the sales season I bought a jumper and a shirt for myself and purchased few delicatessen, but in the other hand, donated 25 books, discarded old paperworks eg; letters from banks (they keep sending time to time despite I am E-banking), invoices, receipts, donated clothes (I have an issue here, got way more than enough and my heart was broken while parting some pieces cause literally getting PTSD thinking of the amount of money I spent/wasted on them and either they shrank in size or I got bigger, maybe both or simply just did not wore them). I hope you also had a peaceful and joy filled festive season and did not get over the board with the shopping. Smaller and more personal gifts are usually the ultimate winners during the festive periods and maybe I got older but I also love to give and get delicatessen, it is something really useful and you can get your creative side work with gifts too.

In overall it was a pretty intense month with decluttering and packing, festive season and at the same time being mindful, and did my best to do not lose control in the world of sales in middle of London and so on.

Like I said I did not have New Year’s resolution this year and for a reason, I am tired of it, because I feel it was enough of talking and started acting.

I urge ya’ll to start acting, the next article is coming soon, so stay tuned.

The less is more.

Yours sincerely
