Simple things in life

Simple things in life

Was travelling recently with my partner in crime and well it made me think about how much I really enjoy the simple days I have at home, not because I did not enjoy having a trip, but the routine was missing, simple things in life, such as waking up in our bed, soaking in the sunrays on our balcony and eating the usual meals, having my routine.

These breakfasts on the balcony are priceless

let alone my iced coconut lattes

Been away two weeks in two different countries, lots of things have happened, not everything went to plan, eg; last minute flights had to be booked due to cancelled flight out of thin air and the usual things you can’t be prepared for when you’re visiting places you were never been to.

These weeks I realized how much in peace I am with my current lifestyle, how thankful I am for the things I have in my life, like my support (thank you baby) who’s always there for me, a nice home, a minimalist environment, clutter free spaces, healthy food, the simple joys of having a morning coffee on the sofa or in the terrace, no rushing, enjoying of cooking a nice meal or just to walk towards the gym with my own thoughts in my head.

First time probably in my life I truly felt that I really am where I wanted to be physically, mentally, health and lifestyle wise. The simple things in life became more visible when we were travelling. Like the saying goes; you don’t know what you have until you lose it, even though it was just a temporary loss, during the days abroad came to my thoughts how thankful I am for everything and these trips made me realize about the simple and little free things of life, just like waking up in your own bed and having your routine back.

This post is not meant to be about complaining about the trips, nor about saying to do not travel, it’s just about the realization of the daily unvisible joys and so called reminder that the grass is not always greener elsewhere.

I do hope ya’ll reach that stage of your lives and contentment where you feel everything is just like a giant puzzle and clicking.

Yours sincerely
