Quarantine and chill

The ultimate chance to get to know yourself.

In this difficult time, probably the most sensible thing to do is to listen what the government says and try to limit our movement , start the social distancing, try to keep ourselves isolated as much as possible due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

As you already know I am a super positive person and trying to keep up the spirit in this misery too, so let’s look for the positives in this situation.

This quarantine and chill gives us tons of positives, free time, chance to declutter the wardrobe we never had time for, select the unused clothes either to sell them or to donate them (I prefer the latter) and of course gives us the chance to better ourselves, get to know ourselves, quit from the rat race. Cause ultimately the problem is not the rat race itself instead being a rat.

So what is your plan for the coming weeks? How are you spending your “ME” time effectively? Any plans like starting meditation, start the yoga you never had time for? New routine? Reading a book you didn’t find time for? Starting the YouTube channel you always promised? (haha that’s me but still not bored enough for that just yet) or maybe applying for new job or perhaps start a blog?

In my case, I am keep on going with the readings, start to be more active on the blog and work a little bit on my super tiny studio flat, getting rid of some stuff, and this time is definitely helping most of us to save money as the stores, cafès, restaurants, shopping malls, gyms are all closed, so we’ve got very limited chances to spend our hard earned cash. This little break will give me some extra time to watch few movies, have proper sleep, learn new recipes too.

I am kind of sad that my new gym is closed, yeah lots of things going on meanwhile, forgot to even mention that I signed up for a new posh gym and went in the past month minimum 5 times a week and became a gym rat, but thanks to this epidemic now this is all over, all the results will slowly but surely be faded even though I am trying to workout from home as much as I can, but obviously as I don’t have a home gym, it is not the same and results won’t stay the same, but will focus more on the nutrition part and will try not to overeat myself.

In the past 2 weeks in London, the situation became a Mad Max like apocalypse, the grocery stores are packed, cordoned, certain foods are out, as you might seen before toilet paper became the new big hit in the financial world, almost bitcoin like commodity…

Keep calm and carry on is past. Panic, scaremongering and quarantine is the future.

Keep calm and carry on is past. Panic, scaremongering and quarantine is the future.

It didn’t let this to hit me at all, I bought couple of kilos of rice, filled up my freezer with frozen vegetables and went to the meat market and bought enough meat for the next month so I won’t have to fight myself through the masses in the stores on daily basis, will limit my grocery shopping trials to maximum 1 time a week.

All I can tell you guys, stop robbing the stores, stop panicking cause it definitely does not help, nor you nor others, relax, obviously try to keep up your hygiene (it should be basic in normal circumstances regardless of epidemics…) and don’t let this situation to put you in misery, look at this time as an opportunity, an opportunity to do things you haven’t had time before, look at it like a last chance to better yourself, to learn new skills, read new books, learn to cook, spend time with your loved ones (obviously only if you live with them in the same household, definitely don’t meet up with grandpa and grandma just now, Skype or WhatsApp is enough in this time), use this time to learn to meditate, clean, declutter, and do everything you postponed in the past because of your overall busy schedule.

Make the best of out of the situation and stay positive.

Yours sincerely
