Ambition vs Satisfaction
People often mistaken these words by thinking that they are the contrary of each other and no one can be ambitious and satisfied in the same time. I think these people are wrong and let me express why I think so.
Being satisfied with whatever we have and being content within, enjoying being ourselves, having the inner peace it does not mean we can’t be ambitious, ambition is the desire to achieve something, but as you may know, achieving something not necessary in a materialistic way, it can also be in a spiritual or intrinsic way which requires daily actions.
That’s the point where I have to explain the difference between ambition and wistfulness, ambition is a desire where the person got the desire to achieve something with a definite plan or action following this desire however in the other hand, wistfulness is the desire without action, a form of yearning where the person want something either impossible to get (maybe something in the past) or not following any action or definite plan to achieve that thing.
To have that inner peace what we consider satisfactionary, being happy, being content is just a state of mind, it’s temporary, it’s intrinsic, it’s something we need to fight for every single day, so to answer the question of the possibility of being ambitious and satisfied in the same time or they are contradicting each other; I have to say it is impossible to be satisfied and ambitious in the same time if we think only in the field of materialism where you’re striving for a better paying job, better and more expensive car, a nicer house in a better neighbourhood, however you can be satisfied and ambitious in the same time if you’re opening up your mind and focus on your state of mind.
The purpose partly of this blog to show you that the goal is to be happy, to live a satisfied life, with the people you love being with. You need to find your inner peace, the little daily things that make you happy and satisfied, to accept yourself the way you are, to ignore the opinion of others and focus on yourself instead of pretending to be different to satisfy people you don’t care about.
It’s time to stop comparing yourself to others, it’s time to realise you’re unique and no one else can be compared to you. You are one and only, irreplicable.
Focus on the inner happiness, find your purpose, stop comparing yourself to others, minimzing the clutter and stuff among you, minimizing your digital clutter they both really important but so is to minimize the negativity among you too.
You can’t be happy with someone if you’re not happy within before.
