Photo decluttering with Google Photos
Surprisingly not many people knows about Google Photos app, but it is a real game changer and you’ll find out now why?
This is the app, available for free on Apple store and Playstore also.
Google Photos is a free photo and video storage app. A real game changer as it lets the user to upload unlimited amount of pictures and videos to the cloud and if you are lack of space on your phone than it comes handy to have this app. Google Photos let you to upload your photos to the app and also offers you the option to delete the recently uploaded photos from your device so you don’t need to worry about the deleting part.
Declutter your photos from your phone and other devices into the cloud, access and share them on the go. Google Photos is your way to go. Defintely recommending to everyone.
It was always a sentinmental and hard decision to delete photos from my devices cause I really liked to look back at them and it brought up feelings about the given day, memories that’s good to keep. Google Photos definitely changed this game for me ocne I’m explored it. I’m using on daily basis the app on my phone and even on my Macbook and uploading right away the pictures I took. The app knows more than this actually, it can even discover the places that the pictures were taken, it can sort the pictures taken on given days into albums. It can also sort the pictures by geographic location too. The album also saves the live/motion pictures too and apart of that generate automatically albums and collages for you and if you like them, you can also keep them. You can download anytime to your device the pictures what you store in their cloud also.
The best part most probably the accessibility of the pictures. If your relatives or friends got google account, which most probably they do, like Gmail account, then you can share the photos right away with them, if you enable the access to a given album for them, they can also add their photos to it and can download the photos from the app too or from their google account.
It is worth to keep it in mind that if you have a really high resolution picture that you do not want to lose you can still upload it to Google photos however in this case if the quality is exceeding their quality guarantee (16MP and 1080p HD) than you can still store in original size these picture in the higher resolution by using your Google account which grants you with 15GB space. Of course if you exceed the 15GB google account space you have to upgrade it for more space which is payable.
A google account is also a great idea to have, not just because of google photos sharing, but it gives you an email address and also google drive facility where you can keep in the cloud your other documents and make it accessible on the go, from anywhere.
On my way towards minimalism, I tried to declutter my documents on my devices and it is extremely hard to make it for free, for most cloud options you have to pay and the free cloud storage is really minimal in terms of space. Google Photos helped a lot in that, I don’t have many documents and programs that require savings, however I do have tons of pictures. I bought an external hard drive to store most of my documents in case of emergency and keeping them up to date, but the free cloud space helped me to declutter my devices without any regret and free up space.
